The Fairview Library Media Center is open from 8:00 AM — 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. Library instruction is integrated both with the district library media curriculum and with grade level curriculums. Students may borrow up to three library items at a time. Library items circulate for two weeks. Students are welcome to use the LMC between library instructional times. We also offer book clubs for students in grades fifth and six through the Chat n’ Chew program during lunch. We currently have fifteen computers for student use. Students use the computers to access the district library catalog, the SIRS Discoverer and EBSCO databases, and the World Book Online Services we offer to teachers and staff include:

  • Preparation of subject booklists
  • Resources for lessons and units
  • Instructional collaboration
  • Inter-library loan
  • Technology instruction
  • Teacher web page assistance
  • Online video streaming
